Bloodlines

Bloodlines is the true story of Celia Honnywill's search for her birth parents. At the age of twenty-three she needs a passport for a trip abroad and is shocked to discover that she was adopted when she was ten days old. But adoption records are sealed and confidential and she is obliged to accept that identification of her natural parents must remain an unsolved mystery. Then by chance, in 2002, she learns that the Adoption Laws have been changed and she is able to launch on a quest for her true heritage. Though confronted by innumerable dead ends, her determination never falters and finally she locates her biological mother living in Spain. Following just one meeting, the shocking news arrives that her mother has been found lying dead in her home; blood covers the floor and is splashed liberally across the walls. The Spanish police seal the house as a crime scene and Celia, unwittingly a participant in the drama, must await an encounter with her new, unknown family.
